What a wild ride it has been. The year 2008 ended in upheavel. In 2009, the drama grew even more dramatic. From the headlines of various media - if one were so inclined to pay attention and emotionalize what they say - it would seemthat present times could not be any more hopeless and that as long as man has inhabited the Earth, we are in the midst of the worst suffering man has experienced since the dawn of time.
WRONG-O. There has never been greater opportunity to achieve financial Success than there is right now!
You heard me right. Times of turmoil, chaos and massive shifts of wealth create more - not less - Opportunity. Each day, I see more and more Opportunity, despite persistent gloomy headlines and general negativity. No, I am not in denial, and this is not futile "rah-rah" pep talk. What I am talking about is real Opportunity that wasn't available a few scant years ago. The Opportunity is there, it is real and it is for the asking. The key is to open our Creative Minds to the possibilities, be willing to Believe, instill Faith and take action regardless of circumstances.
Now, I know many will disagree with my statements, and I can certainly appreciate that - especially for those who are in dire circumstances and who are truly suffering. My heart goes out to all. But to those who disagree, I would also suggest this: you are allowing outside circumstances - as others have labeled those circumstances - to affect and control your thoughts, emotions and actions. When one allows the world without to control the world within - our thoughts, emotions and actions (behavior) - one becomes a victim, a Victim with a capital "V." When we blame, justify, complain, we voluntarily surrender control over ourselves to other people, events and circumstances. That is true "victim consciousness."
Now, why on God's green earth would anyone do that? Would not it make sense, especially in these so-called "bad times," to hold onto and maintain control, rather than give it away to fortuitous events and circumstances? Would not it make sense to be in charge of ourselves, our lives and our circumstances so that we may take action and do something about it? We create our own personal circumstances, and regardless of whether we label "times" as "good" or "bad," guess what - either way, we are RIGHT. As Napoleon stated long ago, "Circumstances? To hell with circumstances. I make my own circumstances." Regardless of your opinion of Napoleon, he was dead on.
If 2009 was a "bad" year, now is the time to let go of all negative thinking, emotions and behaviour. Have Faith. Believe. Take control. Open your Minds to what can be, impress that Image in your Mind, and COMMIT to make it happen - no matter what. What we think and believe, we can achieve.
I wanted to close 2009 with with some exceptional quotes to consider as we look forward to a New Year. I thought I would start with this little ditty from T. Harv Eker: "It's time to take back your power and acknowledge that you create everything that is in your life and everything that is not in it." How true. Let's keep this in the forefront of our Minds as we enter a New Year.
