Success Key No. 7: All Wealth Begins with Thought

If we accept the Law of Cause and Effect as the premise for all that we achieve and all that we fail to achieve, then logically, financial gain and riches must be an effect.  The cause?  Our Thoughts - in the form of Ideas.  The Law of Supply states that the nature, level and extent of the Thought Idea shall determine, in precise proportionality, the nature, level and extent of the Riches realized.  Wealth, therefore, is not in money, as money is merely the effect.  Rather, true Wealth is in  the Idea, in Thought, the true cause of the effect . . . The essence of the Law of Supply is that you must think abundance, see abundance, feel abundance, believe abundance.  Let no thought of limitation enter your Mind.

Success Key No. 7: All Wealth Begins as Thought

The Universal Law of Cause and Effect has been called the "Law of Laws" by Emerson.  It is completely independent in nature; it stands on its own, and from it, all other Laws depend.  Everything in nature - visible and invisible, tangible and intangible - is but a reflection, an effect, of a cause.

The circumstances of our lives are but mere effects of prior Thought, the originating, primal cause of our world.  In his superb, classic, As A Man Thinketh, James Allen delves deeply, but concisely, into this Universal Law and how it shapes everything about us and our lives.  In science and religion, the Law of Cause and Effect is unconditionally recognized.
If we accept the Law of Cause and Effect as the premise for all that we achieve and all that we fail to achieve, then logically, financial gain and riches must be an effect.  The cause?  Our Thoughts - in the form of Ideas.  The nature, level and extent of the Thought Idea shall determine, in precise proportionality, the nature, level and extent of the Riches realized.  Wealth, therefore, is not in money, as money is merely the effect.  Rather, true Wealth is in the Idea, in Thought, the true cause of the effect.
This particular application of the "Law of Law" is nothing new.  It has been given many names, including the "Law of Supply," the "Spirit of Opulence," the "Principle of Abundance," "Prosperity Consciousness," among many.  Regardless of the terminology, the Principle is a fundamental tenet to attaining Financial Success.
Let us examine what some of the great Success writers and Masters have told us about the Law of Supply.
In The Secret of the Ages, Robert Collier writes:
All riches have their origin in Mind.  Wealth is in Ideas - not money.  Money is merely the material medium of exchange for Ideas.  The paper money in your pockets is in itself worth no more than so many pieces of paper.  It is the Idea behind it that gives it value.
One might question, however, exactly how and what type of Thought can give rise to Riches?  We have examined that inquiry here before: in order to attain financial gain and riches on the outside, one must first - as a necessary starting point - engage in Purposeful, Wealthy and Right Thought.  Purposeful Thought invokes Thought Attraction, whereupon the necessary elements are set into motion - within and without.
Collier continues, "So don't go out seeking wealth.  Look within you for ideas!  'The Kingdom of God is within you.'  Use it - purposefully!  Use it to THINK constructively.  Don't say you are thinking when all you are doing is exercising your faculty of memory."
As Theron Q. Dumont (occasional pseudonym for William Walker Atkinson) states in his classic, The Master Mind:
They are simply allowing the stream of memory to flow through their field of consciousness, while the Ego stands on the banks and idly watches the passing waters of memory flow by.  They call this "thinking," while in reality there is no process of Thought under way.
Quoting another writer, Dumont continues:
When I use the word "thinking," I mean thinking with a purpose, with an end in view, thinking to solve a problem.
As Collier further notes, it is constructive Thought that translates into Riches:
[Y]ou have to seek it.  You have to do more than ponder.  You have to think - to think constructively - to seek how you may discover new worlds, new methods, new needs.  The greatest discoveries . . . have arisen out of things that everybody had seen, but only one individual had NOTICED.  The biggest fortunes have been made out of opportunities that many had, but only one GRASPED.
* * * * * *
Why is it that so many millions of men and women go through life in poverty and misery, in sickness and despair?  Primarily because they make a reality of poverty through their fear of it.  They visualize poverty and misery, and thus, bring them into being.  And, secondly, they cannot demonstrate the Law of Supply . . . The solution is simple - but they have never been shown the method.  They do not understand the Law.

SUCCESS KEY:

We will conclude with a final passage from Collier as a Success Key to implement and incorporate into our daily Thought - don't just read it; DO IT:
The essence of the Law of Supply is that you must think abundance, see abundance, feel abundance, believe abundance.  Let no thought of limitation enter your Mind.  There is no lawful Desire of yours for which, as far as Mind is concerned, there is not Abundant satisfaction.  And, if you can visualize it in Mind, you can realize it in your daily world.
